Eurovision 2014 - The
mega-pop, ultra-slick trash-fest comes to Denmark. We POP over to
Copenhagen to experience the biggest live music event on the planet. The
show does not disappoint...
It's that time of year again... We fly to Copenhagen to party with our Eurovision chums Mark and Chris, they are huge fans and travel most years to experience the event. This is our second trip to join the party, our first was Düsseldorf in 2011. This years show was an epic! A huge former shipyard on the outskirts of Copenhagen had been transformed into the most amazing event space. The production values and design were phenomenal. State of the art lighting, a huge multifaceted digital cube and a dance sensitive performance stage were just a few of the highlights. We had tickets for the full dress and production rehearsal in the afternoon, just one show away from the televised final.
The music was as mixed as ever, but every act was given the full production treatment. Conchita Wurst from Austria was a very worthy winner! Thomas Neuwirth performed as his alter ego and tore the place apart, Rise like a Phoenix was the anthem that the voters had been waiting for!

The CLUB MIXES of Rise like a Phoenix are coming to the surface - This one is ok.
The MASH-UPS are also out (Conchita and Adele doing a big James Bond theme thing).
