We go out and about to soak up a little of that Olympic spirit!
We had an enjoyable weekend with our chums Dave and Becky. They stayed with us and we showed them around the Royal Borough of Greenwich and ventured into the Olympic hub that is Stratford. The weather was ok and it did actually stop raining !!!

Here are some pics from our weekend, you will notice London is in a state of metamorphosis... changing into an Olympic City, a City ready to host the 2012 Olympic Games. Greenwich Park, shown above, is hosting the equestrian events. The stadium is huge! We also enjoyed a trip over the Thames on the new Cable Car, The Emirates Air Line. Passengers can use their Oyster cards to access the service, at a cost of £3.20 for a single. Those without Oyster cards will be charged £4.30 each way. We also ventured over to the newly developed London Pleasure Gardens...
