This text should really be me going on about how brilliant Tracy Chapman was last night!... But unfortunately I was nursing a nasty dose of the winter sniffles and we did not manage the trek over to Hammersmith!... darn-it and blast!
...It's not all doom and gloom though!... I have already had the pleasure of seeing Tracy Chapman live! It was 20 years ago! - during the Nelson Mandela concert at Wembley, and her distinctive voice and poignant lyrics have stuck with me ever since! I am sure that last nights gig must have been wonderful... and if Tracy was just half as good as she was all those years ago, the audience must have left the Apollo very happy indeed!
She deserves 9 out of 10
