...Carousel has recently been voted the ‘Greatest Musical of the Twentieth-Century’ by Time magazine, and now you can catch this 1940s classic at the Savoy Theatre.
...Directed by Lindsay Posner, this production is faultless. Lesley Garrett is fantastic as Nettie, she oozes class and her rendition of 'You’ll Never Walk Alone' will stay with you long after the applause has died. Jeremiah James as Billy Bigelow' and Alexandra Silber as 'Julie Jordan' are also on top form. A solid supporting cast and state of the art digital effects really help bring this production bang up to date... no reason why this musical shouldn't run and run!
The Savoy Theatre is an Art-Deco treat... very comfortable seating and friendly staff... All-in-all - a perfect night out!
