Fleabag - National Theatre Live - The hilarious, award-winning, one-woman show that inspired the BBC’s hit TV series Fleabag, broadcast live to the Isle of Wight from London’s West End!

We really enjoyed this live feed from London. Feeling bizarrely intimate, this 80 minute monologue triggered every emotion imaginable. Clever use of audio effects and character voices added depth to Fleabag's narrative while the stripped back stage added to the overall intensity of the piece.

Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and directed by Vicky Jones, Fleabag is a rip-roaring look at some sort of woman living her sort of life. Fleabag may seem oversexed, emotionally unfiltered and self-obsessed, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. With family and friendships under strain and a guinea pig café struggling to keep afloat, Fleabag suddenly finds herself with nothing to lose.

Playing to sold-out audiences in New York and London, we certainly didn't want to miss our opportunity to enjoy this ‘legitimately hilarious show’ (New Yorker), broadcast live from Wyndham’s Theatre to the Ventnor Arts Club.

The moon and the sea, Ventnor

An early morning walk along Ventnor beach

We started our Ventnor adventure with a fab meal at Stripped, the new venture from the team behind Cantina. The eve was rounded off with a moon-lit walk along the parade... and beautifully brought to a crescendo with a stay at the Hambrough. Very comfortable and a great breakfast in the morning too!
