Picasso 1932 - Love, Fame, Tragedy A month-by-month journey through Picasso’s ‘year of wonders’ - a stunning window into a year that made all the difference!

1932 was an intensely creative period in the life of the 20th century’s most influential artist.

This is the first ever solo Pablo Picasso exhibition at Tate Modern. It brings you face-to-face with more than 100 paintings, sculptures and drawings, mixed with family photographs and rare glimpses into his personal life. Three of his extraordinary paintings featuring his lover Marie-Thérèse Walter are shown together for the first time since they were created over a period of just five days in March 1932. The myths around Picasso are stripped away to reveal the man and the artist in his full complexity and richness. A once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy his work as never before.

The magnificent view from the new Tate members' Bar

After the show we enjoyed a quick glass of something chilled up in the Members' bar. It's always a great place to relax and the perfect place to discuss the art that we have just enjoyed. This Picasso show was wonderful, what a treat!
