Le Gateau Chocolat - THE new performance ICON. His work extends beyond the world of drag into a carcrash of opera, performance art and 80's pop aesthetic.

It's always a treat to revisit the Soho Theatre. Tonight, in the downstairs space, we enjoyed Le Gateau performing his wonderful ICONS show. Funny, touching and always dramatic - this star performer never disappoints.

"Walking the tightrope between his public and private persona's, Le Gateau Chocolat explores relationships with our icons – the people, the moments, the books, the relationships that have come to shape us, or the ideal we aspire to".

"How do those in the spotlight become icons? How you become representative of something bigger than yourself? Le Gateau explores his experiences as a cabaret artist, and a drag performer, and balancing that with his own personal identity at the end of the day".

The often emotional show delivered an eclectic mix of music; pop to opera, Kate Bush, and Whitney, Elvis to Wagner and Shirley to Gershwin... Big names, big songs, big voice - this guy is a massive talent.
