Jerusalem - Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2009. The rest, as they say is history.
Mark Rylance plays Johnny "Rooster" Byron, a vodka-swilling ex-stuntman who lives in a leafy glade. Set on the annual St George's Day Flintlock Fair, this play takes the audience on a rip-roaring cavort through all things English. Booze, drugs, raves and Morris dancers... nothing is left out. The Theatre event of the year!!!
