Jane Avril - a dancer and one of the stars of the Moulin Rouge. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec - one of the worlds greatest post-impressionists. Bring them together and you get a dynamic, vibrant and iconic vision of under-world-show-folk doing what they do best!
What a treat to see so many important pieces in one exhibition. Paintings, sketches, photographs and prints all bring the Moulin-rouge to life - you can almost smell the cigar smoke, the French parfum and the sin!!! Très magnifique!
