Is Ruscha a Pop artist?, a Conceptualist?, a Realist or a latter-day Surrealist?... This 5 decade retrospective will help you decide!

Ed Ruscha is widely regarded as one of the world’s most influential artists at work today. This exhibition traces the development of his paintings across 50-years, from his contributions to Pop Art in the early 1960s to his paintings comprising words and phrases and his explorations of iconic American landscapes. This major exhibition reveals the depth and breadth of his achievement by bringing into focus the entire sweep of his 5 decade output as a painter and includes a total of 78 works on canvas – many of which have never been seen before in the UK... An amazingly cool and very iconic selection it is too!

Ed Ruscha as born in Nebraska on the 16 December 1937.
