This show is a gloriously wild, high-kicking drag-queen of a musical! Funny, heart-breaking in places and very, very rewarding! Go see it now!

The story goes a little like this... The idyllic existence of Georges (Philip Quast) and the dazzling drag artiste Albin (Roger Allam), star of the La Cage aux Folles club, is threatened when Georges’ son announces his engagement to the daughter of a right-wing politician, who wants to close down the local colourful nightlife! With a visit from the prospective in-laws imminent, they all decide to take drastic action to hide their lifestyle... but can they keep it up? You will have to see the show to find out :-)

...A brilliant lead cast and wonderful support make this production unmissable. The magical chemistry between Philip Quast and Roger Allam is amazing and faultless as the story weaves through high-camp dance numbers, sensitive moments and hilarious sitcom! 'I am what I am' is beautifully delivered by an emotionally distraught Albin, and in the process, is turned in to an iconic 'tearjerker' of an anthem!

This show is
worthy of a standing ovation every night! - The Playhouse Theatre is also worthy of a mention - small, gaudy and beautifully formed... Hurraggghhh!
