Spain's third-largest city, Valencia basks on the Mediterranean coast south of Barcelona. Amid rugged mountains and shady orange groves, the city boasts impressive futuristic architecture, neon-lit fountains, a colorful old town and a bustling beach. It is also home to 'Las Fallas' - (the fires), which is undoubtedly one of the most unique and crazy festivals in Spain. Pics above show examples of the mighty wood, cardboard and plaster 'ninots' that are set alight during the 5 day festivities.
Pics above show the impressive 'City of Arts and Sciences' and the 'Palau de les Arts Reina SofĂa' (you can see Dave and I outside this amazing facility).
Pics above show the dolphins at the Oceanográfico, Dave stood next to the 'Cat house' and us on the roof of our apartment at sunset.
Pics above show examples of the fantastic street art that covers every square inch of the backstreets.
If you've done Barcelona and Madrid, Valencia has to be your next Spanish City!
