www.banksy.co.ukStencil Art Street Battle under Waterloo!

A mass collection of Banksy's new creations and works from many other renowned street artists can be found deep under Waterloo. Housed in the old taxi slip road that serviced the original Eurostar terminal, this show has brought a vibrant and exciting vibe to a once dark and gloomy space.

It was great to see such a varied collection of 3D pieces and beautifully produced stencil art in one space. Over 40 artists from around the globe had their work viewed by thousands of bank holiday punters, all eagerly snapping away, capturing images of what is sure to go down as a 'historic art event' - Let's hope this becomes an annual fiesta of spray paint and attitude!

The large scale installations have been removed - luckily Eurostar have agreed to let the wall based art stay for the next six months or so...

(psst!... I collected 2 spray can nozzles from the gutter under Banksy's creations... how much would I get on ebay 4 'em?)

“Graffiti doesn’t always spoil buildings, in fact it’s the only way to improve a lot of them." Banksy

Is this man Banksy? Who Knows...
This pic, taken in Bethnal Green, has been posted on loads of blog sites and forums... Will we ever know... do we care?

Many of Banky's pranks remind me of those carried out by The KLF. Are these media savvy rogues behind the street art phenomena...?
