Peter Doig was born in Edinburgh in 1959. He is one of Europe's most expensive living painters and his work is sought after by many top private art collectors ...After experiencing this latest show it's easy to see why!

The shear beauty of these canvases will take your breath away! Landscapes become mysterious new worlds where even the snow and ice seems warm and inviting. Viewing the pictures will make you wish you were playing on the ice, skiing down a mountain or lazing in a canoe on a hot sunny day.

Buildings, forests, water and sky dance over the huge works inviting you to walk with the supporting cast of shadowy, feature-less figures. Doig has the ability to juxtapose realism with escapism to produce a refreshing and personal representation of the natural and human world. In contrast to some modern approaches to art which can leave you cold - this exhibition fills you with an appetite for life and exploring our beautiful world.

From snowy forests to tropical nights, Doig's experience of living in Canada, London and now Trinidad have allowed him to share with us a fantastically varied and exciting natural sketchbook of influences and content... We left this exhibition feeling exhilarated and wanting to experience cold snowy days and warm barmy evenings.

...WONDERFUL!
