Over 40 mixed media works fight for your attention in this uber cool Covent Garden Gallery space. Who will win?
Clever idea to get these two battling it out... The similarities in style and content are unmissable, each a master of their chosen medium. Warhol's work still looks fresh and vibrant, each piece beautifully produced - even if some look deliberately instant. Banksy on the other hand comes across as un-crafted and rushed. But hey!, this is exactly why we love him!
If you want to see Banksy at his best - go crawl around the back streets of East London or Bristol, don't go to a gallery!... (...this may soon be the only option - as his work keeps mysteriously vanishing over night, only to reappear at Christie's a few weeks later)
We must thank Mr Warhol for his silk screened flouro portraits and Mr Banksy for his gorilla spray can creations... Bring on the next LOOK, we need a new one!
